Fir Tree Cottage

Site very much still a work in progress

Little did we know when we purchased Fir Tree Cottage in 1979 that it was our forever home ! We were VERY lucky to buy it in 1979 AND to have cleared the mortgage before I retired, 11 years ago. Being able to continue living in such a wonderful location on basic pensions sometimes takes some juggling but we never stop thinking how lucky we are.

I took a complete change of occupation after retraining in Agricultural Engineering. We lived in a village the outskirts of Manchester and decided to a job wherever the best one came up, rather than pick a location to move to ………….

Matt moved back home with us in 2018 (this pic on top of Malvern Hills was that year) when his wife could no longer care for him. His MS first appeared in 2015 and has shown a very rapid progression. He is now virtually house bound and full time powerchair user……..

Our Galleries have images of home and all it’s inhabitants. Of things I have made. Of Show Cars and others i have built. Random images I have collected. Enabling Equipment Matt and I have come up with to help maintain his independence.
